Auction
When our auction began thirteen years ago, we were one of two Catholic elementary schools to host this type of event and it was relatively easy to acquire donations. At present, auctions are hosted by almost every school, both private and public, which gives us lots of competition when asking for donations. St. Agnes School relies on benefactors to meet our annual budget, so your patronage is greatly appreciated. I hope you will consider the importance of this plea and of any assistance that you can offer.
Last year’s auction was a huge success, netting over $275,000 to benefit our school and the children that we serve. A portion of the proceeds were used to fund student scholarships. St. Agnes School switched over to charging tuition this year, to help make things more financially viable. Over one third of our students and their families live below poverty level, so we obviously have a great need for tuition assistance. You’re your help, we were able to offer aid to 50 families! Auction proceeds were also used to purchase other school improvements, such as “Team Boards”, which are interactive teaching devices that are connected to computers. St. Agnes School has a state of the art technology program, thanks to our wonderful supporters! We were also able to purchase classroom supplies and to assist with our teachers and staff salaries and continuing education.
