                                         Qq Week

Monday- Today we will introduce the letter Qq.  We will be making Q queens today during centers.  Today we will be celebrating Kansas Day!!!!  We will be making edible Kansas maps and locating Kansas on a map of the United States.

Tuesday- Today is Student Appreciation Day!  We will get to play some fun learning games in class, like the alligator game and alphabet bingo. We will also be making a quiet snack to go with our fun day and letter of the week! 

Mrs. Duckers is so lucky to have a wonderful group of students!!!!

Wednesday- Today is Religion Day!  We will be talking about Catholic Schools Week. The students will be journaling their favorite thing about St. Agnes School.

Thursday-Did the groundhog see his shadow????  Today we will be talking about groundhog's day.  What is needed to make a shadow?  We will find out today and we will make our own groundhogs with their shadows.

Friday- Today we will be reading The Very Quiet Cricket.  We will be making our own crickets using sand paper as their wings.  What will our crickets be saying????

New Tubs and Centers for the Week- making patterns with heart candy , ordering cupcake numbers,  partner letter stamp match up, listening to Little Quack's New Friend at the library center , tracing a queen and writing the word queen at the writing center.

Tubs- During my tub groups this week we will be flipping quarters and graphing our results and completing #4 in our number handwriting book.
