EVERY NIGHT:
- Students should read every night for 20 minutes. It is so important to make reading a priority each night- encourage your student to try a variety of reading materials. We want to build strong readers who love good books!
- Students should practice their spelling words each night. This can be as simple as spelling them to you while driving home from school.
- Practicing math facts is important in learning how to recall the answers quickly and accurately. We will be starting a program at school to help students learn their facts. More information to come...
An important reminder: In 3rd grade, the students will be bringing home their planners and homework folders every night. Please sign their planner somewhere on the day's section- under "Teacher's Notes" would be a great place, but if you prefer to sign near the date, that works fine too!
Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack if they would like.
